Course Description:
This course is designed to introduce and develop the advanced principles of a code of conduct especially as it relates to CAS. In addition, it reviews Confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
Objectives:
1. Describe important components of a CAS Code of Conduct
2. Identify and define aspects of CFR 42 Part 2
3. Identify how Privacy Rule and CFR 42 Part 2 interact in an AOD setting
General Procedure:
1. Review the following materials:
a.CAS Code of Conduct
b. PATIENT RECORDS REGULATION AND THE HIPAA PRIVACY RULE: IMPLICATIONS FOR ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAMS (2004)

*Must pass test with a minimum of 80%.
*Test may be taken more than once by same individual.
