WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
AOD and mental health professionals, social workers, and other human service workers interested in learning about alcohol and drug prevention. Also for certified or licensed professionals seeking advanced Continuing Education hours.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This 45 hour certificate and CE program is appropriate for everyone who has a role in the field of prevention.
This workshop will review environmental strategies and prevention efforts that aim to change or influence community standards, institutions, structures, and attitudes that shape individuals' behaviors. Focus is on SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework.
OBJECTIVES:
• Identify definitions and terms related to the prevention field.
• Students will gain knowledge of both CSAP and NIDA prevention principles.
• Be able to describe prevention models and theories.
• Identify and review the influence and impact of social media in prevention.
• Learn about the ethical conduct for professionals in prevention.

COURSE FEE:
A tuition charge of $499 will be required to reimburse the company for course expenses. This charge covers 45 CE hours of academic instruction and a course completion certificate. Full payment is expected prior to receiving CE Certificate. No exceptions.

CAADAC APPROVED
Students will receive an attendance certificate in Prevention Studies and/or a 45 hour continuing education certificate. They may utilize this certificate as part of CAADAC’s application process for California Certified Prevention Specialist (CCPS).
