FALL RECITAL

Akron-Summit County Library Auditorium
WRMTA member teachers and non-member teachers are welcome to register their students to perform in one of the Fall recitals held at the Akron Public Library auditorium. Students from elementary to advanced levels are eligible to participate. Performers and audience alike enjoy the sounds of the beautiful Steinway concert grand piano.

RIBBON FESTIVAL

​Ribbon Festival is held in March at selected locations throughout the Akron area. Participating students are invited to carefully prepare one solo representative of their current level of study (4 minutes maximum performance time). The piece is played from memory for a qualified judge. In addition to the valuable written critique of the performance, the student receives a colorful ribbon identifying the number of years of participation in the Festival.

HIGH SCHOOL GALA
Friday, April 16, 2027 at 6pm
First Methodist Church, Cuyahoga Falls
The High School Gala is a formal evening event showcasing high school students of WRMTA teachers. Each student's accomplishments are acknowledged with a printed bio and certificate, a gift from WRMTA, and an upscale reception for family and friends!

ADULT STUDENT EVENINGS
Fall: Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 6pm
Spring: Thursday, April 8, 2027 at 6pm
Steinway Piano Gallery
Usually held in the Fall and in the Spring, these are informal events to allow our adult students to showcase their progress and share their journey of learning with peers. A wine and cheese reception puts all at ease!​
